Sailability Northern Rivers is a not-for-profit volunteer-based branch of Sailability NSW and embraces recreational, therapeutic, and competitive activities. Sailing is one of very few sports in which able-bodied and disabled sailors participate on equal terms. Sailability Northern Rivers operates on Lake Ainsworth north of Lennox Head. This has proved to be a very successful venue with a lot of interest and support for our activities.
Our fleet of uniquely designed one and two-seater yachts are a safe, stable, and easy to sail craft that can’t tip over and can be used by people of all ages and ability. Our recreational program helps enable residents of the Northern Rivers region to develop skills and experience the independence and exhilaration of sailing – with us, they develop friendships and build self-confidence and pride through their achievements in a safe and secure environment.
We sail on alternate Sundays 10.30am to 2.30pm. Contact Craig for gate code and other details.

Volunteers:
You don’t have to be a sailor to be a volunteer, landlubbers are most welcome too. Some of our volunteers are disabled themselves. Those with a current first aid certificate or a power boat licence are like gold to us.
Because we are working with disabled people – adults and children – all volunteers should be fully vaccinated for Covid 19 but it is not mandated now.
To join Sailability Northern Rivers all you do is pay an annual membership fee of $25.
There's no current ongoing or coming event on this branch yet!
