Port Macquarie

Sailability Port Macquarie is a branch of Sailability NSW Inc., a volunteer organisation
whose mission is to offer people with varying abilities freedom on the water. Sailability
commenced operations in Port Macquarie in 2012 with two borrowed sailing vessels and a
handful of volunteers.

We currently sail in 10 Hansa 303 dinghies, supported by 3 Rigid-hulled Inflatable Support
Boats, with a volunteer workforce of 60 people.

Sitting side-by-side with one of our experienced skippers, our sailors enjoy a sail on the
beautiful Hastings River and can learn to sail themselves, if they are interested.

We operate each Wednesday during the summer season – from September to May (with a
short break for Christmas), sailing with people of varying abilities, drawn from various
Disability Support Units, local schools, Community Disability Service providers, Aged Care
Providers and various private individuals. We schedule around 55 – 60 people each week to
sail with us.

Venue: McInherney Park, McInherney Close, Port Macquarie

Time: Arranged by our scheduling team between 9:00 and 12:30
